I have been an independent clinician since 2013 and in private practice since 2017. I strive to provide clients with a safe, calm, open therapeutic environment. I believe we are all individuals and there is no one size fits all approach. Therefore, I tailor therapeutic treatments to the need and the goals of my clients. I am painfully aware that some of life’s transitions can be difficult to cope with: be it a loss of a loved one, a new illness, a chronic illness, a disability, depression or just everyday life. Whatever the case may be, we all need help and somebody to talk to during our life’s journey. Some of the conditions I treat include chronic illnesses, disabilities, mental illness, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss. I specialize in working with families who may have a member that is disabled as well as family situations. I am here to help you improve your journey through life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three children.

Choosing to seek therapy to work on ourselves can be a scary endeavor, as there are times where it can become uncomfortable to face some of the challenges in our lives in order to feel better. I like to utilize solution focused therapy, mindfulness practices, as well as CBT, DBT, and EMDR as some of the tools to help my patients. I come from a client centered approach, and I offer a safe and therapeutic environment either from the online platform or in person. I invite you to take that next step and start the journey towards healing and learning how to become your best authentic self. I specialize in working with LGBTQ, anxiety, issues in dealing with lack of self-esteem and self-worth, along with relationship troubles, and learning to adjust to the complex world we are living in. I welcome you to feel empowered to take back control in your life and to have the courage to find what makes you happy and healthy. Open to working with children/adolescents 16 years and older.

Through a therapeutic approach, I help clients feel understood and safe because this is an important aspect of the healing process. Helping clients understand beliefs, emotions and behaviors is an important aspect for progress. While cognitive behavioral therapy is at the core of my approach, I believe that cognitive restructuring is essential in client progress. An eclectic approach is necessary because each client is unique and presents with unique strengths, needs and goals. I have worked as an addiction counselor, clinical case manager, family therapist and have done work with couples, pre-teens, teens and adults. I am fluent in Spanish and have worked with the Latino population in the Boise area since 2013. I have facilitated Anger Management, Early Recovery Skills, Healthy Thinking, and Drug & Alcohol Ed groups. I will provide you with a direct, straightforward approach that helps you move from a place of pain to happiness. The youngest age I am willing to treat is 10 years old. Hablo Espanol y te puedo ayudar.
