In our work together, we will identify your personal goals and map out steps to support you in making decisions that are best for you. You are the expert of your own life. Therapy is not about someone fixing you—it’s about building a partnership for healing, where your voice leads the journey.

I am honored to have received the #Candela 2024 award from Spring Health which recognizes the collective effort and dedication we share towards providing exceptional mental healthcare to clients such as yourself!!! With over 20 years of experience, I believe that psychotherapy is an invaluable way to help people recognize and change painful patterns of behavior so they can live a more fulfilling and joyful life. I respect the courage it takes to start this process and together we’ll tackle the challenges that you are facing. Therapy is a collaborative process and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I strive to build a trusting relationship with all of my clients as feeling seen and heard are cornerstones of successful outcomes. My initial training was based on psychodynamic principles which allows me to explore people's experiences throughout the lifespan. I have added a variety of modalities that are effective in augmenting this treatment and also allow me to help clients develop an array of coping skills that can be utilized immediately. I tailor my approach to what is needed at the time and what will be most beneficial for my client. Please note, I do work with clients individually on relationship issues but I do not provide couples counseling. I also have a specialization in the treatment of OCD.

“An Arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back, it means that it is going to launch you into something great.” Life has its way of pulling us backward, but I believe with positive support, healthy coping skills and processing through things that are dragging you back; you can learn to thrive and launch yourself into greater things. I have worked in the mental health field for over ten years. Throughout my time working in mental health I have worked with clients with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders and substance and alcohol use disorders. My greatest skill as a therapist is being able to work with clients and help them feel accepted, heard and understood. I have been trained in many therapy modalities and use these skills to help clients learn coping skills to better manage and cope with daily stress and symptoms they have previously suffered from. I believe change is possible.

My approach to therapy is to first offer an environment in which the client feels comfortable and secure to share things. I utilize person-centered techniques to treat the whole person and ensure that what is done in therapy is personalized, collaborative, and unique to you as a client.I have compassion for people going through life's challenges and transitions, and feel privileged to work with those who are seeking support. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and that therapy is a tool used to empower them to use their own strengths to overcome situational obstacles they are facing.
