I was born in Tampa, Florida. A first-generation high school and college graduate my childhood was filled with adversities, and it has influenced my therapeutic work in many ways. From being a teenage mother to having a second child born with chronic health issues I was determined to make a better life for myself and my children. I received my Master’s Degree with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling. I used Dr. Maya Angelo's words “If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.”
I have seven years of experience specializing in complex trauma, substance use, co-occurring disorders, work-life balance, and work stress. I empower clients to harness their inner strengths and resources to overcome their challenges and achieve their personal goals.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. By focusing on clients’ strengths and potential she helps individuals build resilience and foster a sense of empowerment and self-efficacy.
I leave you this question: What is your Why? And often questions her clients with, what is failure? It is never trying!!!
