I work with clients who struggle with trauma related issues, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar and addictions. My approach is to help my clients help themselves by first establishing trust and security within the therapeutic relationship. In working with my clients, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques. As a former yoga teacher, I focus also on the mind/body connection in helping clients heal and thrive.
I focused on trauma in graduate school and have worked extensively in not only mental health settings, but also in drug and alcohol outpatient facilities. A huge goal in my therapeutic process is to help clients realize their self worth and power to change.
