My therapy focuses on addressing emotional and behavioral needs of indivduals and their families through eclectic modes of therapy.
I began my career in Mental Health in New York, beginning at the grassroots of a non-profit, multi-service organization for teens, where I earned the title of Supervisor of Human Resources for Health Programs. I also created two private practices in Mental Health: Manhattan, New York, and South Orange, New Jersey. I worked in the Newark Schools as an intricate member of the Child Study Team, evaluating and treating students who were at-risk or eligible for services relating to emotional/behavioral disabilities.
When I relocated to South Florida, I brought with me a wealth of knowledge and experience which was directly applied to clients in my private practice, as well as in the Broward County Schools. I hold three master degrees: Master of Science – Management and Administration of Educations Programs – Nova University- South Florida, Master of Social Work – Hunter College- New York, Master of Arts - Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family-New York University. Additionally, I hold a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Social Work from Barry University and a Certification in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the New Jersey Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
Being a psychotherapist for me is purposeful. It is presented with warmth and genuineness.
