I am California born and raised and have spent time in Arizona and Washington. When I was growing up, school was not important to me. I was the exact definition of a procrastinator wrapped up with an “I don’t care” bow. Then I had my first psychology class and it intrigued me so much I read the book. 18 years later I do this work because I am empathic and passionate about helping others find what they might be missing or needing. We all need someone to listen to us and I will do that without judgement or shaming. I like to work with kids 10+, young adults and adults all genders, sexualities and races. I specialize in helping with barriers in life, and we all can have a few or a lot of those. Sometimes the barrier is you and I would like to assist with figuring out what it really is. Modalities I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to focus on thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Other approaches may be Motivational Interviewing, Multicultural approaches, Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy or Person-Centered therapy. Therapy will teach you how to use skills or tools to recognize and remove those barriers. Open to working with children/adolescents 10 years and older.
