Hello and welcome!
I’m Veronica Sandoval, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in providing support to people who are navigating the loss of a loved one, those who are living with a chronic or terminal illness (or supporting a loved one who is), bipoc individuals navigating the intersections of their native and dominant cultures, people who suffer from PTSD, and victims/survivors of domestic violence. I also specialize in providing support to first responders and healthcare professionals.
My professional journey spans diverse settings, including outpatient mental health services and primary and specialty medical social work in level 1 trauma hospitals.
In my therapeutic approach, I individualize treatment based on the client’s needs. I draw from a strengths-based perspective, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Existential & Narratives Therapies. I also frequently use some Solution Focused Brief Therapy as well, to support you on your mental health journey.
A native Oregonian, I treasure moments spent at the Oregon Coast any chance I get. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and love my cuddle sessions with my pups.
My firm belief lies in the inherent potential for healing within every individual, provided they receive the right support and tools. I am profoundly honored to accompany you on your unique path towards healing and personal growth.
