I believe that therapy is a process to encounter with our inner self. Is a way to understand how we process things that happens in life and have a better understanding in how we approach life situations. Is getting to know the role of our learned judgements and how they keep us from accepting and have a better relationship with our emotions. In my experience, I get to practice different evidence based therapeutic approaches, always trying to help people be more functional and navigate their emotions to have better life quality, identifying and understanding the pathology beneath it, but keeping it from defining your life and future. I believe that people usually have the potential to solve their problems, but that sometimes, they need a hand to guide them through the process. My goal as a therapist is to provide my clients with a therapeutic space where they can feel comfortable to share what troubles their minds. Sometimes solve a problem, sometimes somewhere to vent out their thoughts, sometimes more complex things, or situations… but always a space where their emotions and thoughts are going to be validated, listened to, and respected. Through my practice I have experience working with people with different psychological disorders, particularly mood, personality, psychotic and substance abuse disorders. More recently, I’ve been certified in primary care behavioral health, that is understanding the relationship of mental and physical health. I take the well-being of my clients seriously and I’m committed to provide a service of excellence, which is why I always keep up-to-date in terms of evidence-based therapeutic modalities that train me with the necessary tools to perform an effective job, without missing individual characteristics of each client. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you.
