Being a psychotherapist means being available to you in a way that is different from other forms of human relatedness. It means I listen to the painful events and relationships troubling you in your life and open a conversation about them between us.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Michigan, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Ohio, a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC)in both states, and a National Certified Mental Health Counselor (NCMHC) as well.
All change occurs in five (5) stages. Motivation, knowledge, understanding of responsibilities, and limits of control allow my clients to have the power of confidence to overcome the fear resulting from not understanding or misunderstanding the circumstances surrounding them. Goals and objectives are based on understanding, preparation, and action in order to reach your desired and deserved state of a higher quality of life.
The first session serves to establish a therapeutic alliance or relationship to embark on the healing journey of therapy together. I guide my clients through processes and therapies that I have been through and that have worked for me and my myriad of clients.
