Are you tired of being tired? Not a fun feeling, I imagine. Life gives you range of stressors and expects you to handle it all, flawlessly. In addition, there’s judgments imposed on us by others (you’re not successful enough, you’re doing life ALL WRONG) as well as those judgements we impose on ourselves (I’m weak, I’M NOT GOOD ENOUGH!). While none are true, it doesn’t make them less easy to believe. It doesn’t have to be that way. Together we can address those “blocks” in your functioning. My approach is one that lends itself to understanding you beyond a list of symptoms and sees you from range of perspectives (developmental, relational, biological, spiritual). In short, I work to understand how life has impacted you, how you’ve responded to it, and what we can do about it. In session, you’re greeted by a kind and empathic person. We’ll discuss your treatment goals and referral reason. We’ll also develop a roadmap toward the life you deserve. However, don’t let my kind smile fool you – we will work. Clients who enter my office are often pushed and encouraged to grow, while supported empathically. My hope is that you leave therapy with a better sense of control over your life. I don’t just want you to “feel better,” rather I’d like for you to leave session ready to take life “by the horns.” So, lets start taking back your life. Therapy can be the spark that ignites the fire within you. Question is: Are you ready to see your true potential? Hope to meet you soon. Dr. J.
