I was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I am a huge sports fan and my passion is helping others in any capacity that I am able. I became interested in psychology and counseling because I wanted to understand and be able to assist close family members in coping with their mental illnesses. I have been licensed since 2017, but have 21 years of experience in the mental health field. I worked with the chronic/severe mentally ill population for 16 years, and have been working with the military and individuals providing outpatient counseling for the last 5 years. Modalities of focus include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other modalities as needed. I believe that the counselor can help the client to success as long as both parties are committed to the common goal. Effort must be made during and outside of sessions to achieve progress.
