I grew up in an upper-middle-class family in the suburbs of Northern Virginia. My desire to become a therapist was influenced by childhood traumas which created a desire within me to make deep connections with people and to create a safe and non-judgmental place for them to land. I believe that healing is a journey and that it is best addressed in the presence of someone who is safe, who can provide a soothing and safe environment, and who takes the time to see you. It is only in this kind of environment that one is truly known and freed from the shame and pain that is internalized. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. Open to working with adolescents ages 13 and older.
