I was born in Texas and raised in Connecticut. I spent most of my adult life in Northern and Southern California and have lived in Arizona for the past 18 years. I have a passion for the outdoors and love to run and hike. I am a dog lover. I am a mother of two daughters. I have had over 27 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, couples, families, and adults. Prior to my Scottsdale, AZ practice, I had an established practice in Northern California and in Washington, D.C. I have conducted workshops in various clinical settings such as various hospitals, schools, and non-profit organizations. I have received specialized training in marriage counseling from the Gottman Institute, which is based on 50 years of scientific research in what makes marriages succeed or fail. I also have extensive training completed to practice as EMDR therapist from the EMDR Institute.
