I believe that everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Therapy is not about having someone take over your life, but is about learning to take control of your own path through making positive changes. I use my intuition, enthusiasm, and sense of humor to form authentic, trustworthy relationships with her clients. I am both direct and non-judgemental in my approach. As my clients go on their journey through life, I walk beside them offering tools to help them remove obstacles they encounter along the way. Although I am there to help clients heal, I maintain the position that my clients are the experts in their lives. By allowing my clients to be their true selves in therapy sessions, I empower them to be the best version of themselves in their everyday lives. I care for my clients and want the best quality of life for them.
I integrate a number of evidence-based theories and practices into my work with clients that I tailor to my client’s individual concerns and goals for therapy. Some of these include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness based, person centered, and solution focused modalities. I strive to make the therapy room a safe place to do the challenging work of self-discovery. I encourage clients to set healthy boundaries and goals to enhance their lives and improve the way they feel.
I am known for advocating for what is in my clients’ best interest, my compassion, and my down to earth nature. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, going for walks, baking, and making crafts.
