My name is Jim Wells. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I am also a Registered Play Therapist and certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have over 30 years experience and specialize in helping parents connect better with their children and with each other. I am a systemic therapist and treat the family as a whole unit. We all have different needs and when families do not understand each other's needs, miscommunication can cause division. I strive to understand what each person needs so that families can work on connecting in more meaningful ways. It is often helpful to uncover trauma and resolve it so that it doesn't continue to affect your present. We often live according to the script we were given. Bringing the unconscious to the present can help you determine how you want to live your life and re-write your script. I look forward to getting to know you.
