I believe that every individual needs a space in which to be ‘heard.’ With all of the noise, distractions and overstimulation in the world around us, it’s easy to feel unnoticed and unimportant. Being that we are all unique and important, we deserve to have the opportunity to grow and thrive in our own lives, in our own way. Three words that describe my style are: attentive, respectful, and compassionate.
I feel passionate about building a strong therapeutic alliance and helping to empower the client toward autonomy. My training and practice in massage therapy has assisted me with understanding the physiology of the human body, how emotions affect the body, and how to help clients work with their own physiology in order to effectively self regulate. I view each client as a whole person.
Depending on the individual needs of a client, I utilize a variety of methods of therapy. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, work-related stress, and adjustment disorders.
