I’m Annamma, I go by “Anna.” I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I worked as a licensed masters social worker (LMSW) for the last 6 years. Sadness, fear, and anger can keep us stuck and leave us feeling alone in our struggle, but it doesn’t not have to be that way.
My approach is integrative and concentrates on assisting individuals to explore and challenge habits/thoughts/patterns which impact emotions, behaviors, relationships, sleep, work, energy, motivation, and goals. Working through the environmental, psychological, behavioral, interpersonal and situational contributors to wellness. Assisting with identifying negative or distorted thinking patterns that often lead to feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. Providing psycho-education on specific life problems that may increase depression and help patients understand how to solve or improve on those problems.
I'm passionate about working with individuals in exploring cultural identity, anxiety/depression/grief/ADHD/adjustment disorders, family conflict, codependency, and self-esteem. I understand the complex web of intergenerational and multicultural dynamics that many Asian-Americans experience. Together, we'll work toward self-acceptance, building emotional resilience and deepening self awareness.
You are the expert of your own life and I am here to support you in welcoming meaningful change.
I deeply value the connection and trust built with each client that fosters space for vulnerability, honesty, growth, and healing. I am here to meet you where you're at and guide you toward the harmony and emotional freedom you're striving for. Reaching out is a courageous first step, and I'd be honored to join you on this transformative journey!
