Hello, my name is Dr. Mo Therese (Maureen) Hannah. I’ve been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 30 years. My therapeutic style could be described as compassionate, empathic, and spiritually- as well as solution-oriented. I’m passionate about helping clients discover their strengths and realize their inherent greatness rather than just focusing on their challenges and deficits. I have devoted my entire lifetime to understanding myself and the nature of the human psyche, as I believe self-understanding and understanding others go hand in hand! I’m privileged to also have served as a psychology professor at Siena College in Loudonville, New York for the past 31 years, where I greatly enjoy teaching courses that are related to my work as a psychotherapist-- courses like Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Theories and Techniques, and Intimate Relationships. My specialty areas include couples/relationship therapy, trauma-informed therapy (I am EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy trained), women’s issues, domestic violence/abuse, and grief therapy.
