I am a native of Dallas, TX, who grew up and attended school in the Oak Cliff area. My two sisters and I were raised by a single mother who instilled great character, family values and a positive work ethic in each of us. I am a mother of five, and grandmother of six, who has overcome many obstacles during turbulent times in my life. This allowed me to develop a compassion and empathy for the hurt and pain of others and desire to help them overcome as well. Three words that describe my therapeutic style are: genuine, compassionate and challenging. I work with the client to help them identify and build on their strengths to help them manage and work towards accomplishing their goals. I seek to provide an accepting and encouraging environment for the client to feel free to open up and work through life's challenges.
