I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for growth and healing. I also believe that the client brings with them many unique experiences, strengths, and resources that are valuable to the therapeutic process. Every individual deserves compassion, respect, understanding, and acceptance. My basic theoretical orientation includes a Person-Centered approach to therapy, creating an open non-judgmental space to empower and motivate you to realize your potential and make the changes that you are here to make. My primary areas of focus include depression, anxiety, addiction, life changes (job change, divorce, etc.), stress, and other difficulties. I utilize treatment techniques and theory from a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and other evidenced based practices to guide you in establishing new coping skills and developing increased awareness about yourself and relationships with others. Whatever may prompt you to seek treatment, I believe that we can work together to move towards greater understanding and relief from suffering. I would be honored to guide you on your journey of healing and self-discovery.
