I am trained as a trauma informed psychotherapist and yoga instructor. I have years of experience providing therapy in various community-based settings, including high schools, residential treatment programs, and hospitals. My life practice is dedicated to addressing social injustice and promoting equality for all humans, in addition, to co-creating healing spaces where we can embrace vulnerability to address the complexity of the human experience. I believe that behavior is often a function of survival. My approach is heavily influenced by the Critical Race Theory, Polyvagal Theory, theories of trauma and attachment, the process of socialization, and yoga informed healing practices, to promote exploration around identity formation, sense of self, and life trajectory.
My clinical style is described as warm, humorous, and challenging; I believe that the power of healing evolves from a space where people can form sincere and genuine connection to promote self-exploration.
