From an early age, I felt a deep calling to help others, finding joy in making a positive difference in people’s lives. Growing up in an immigrant family with limited resources, I joined the military to pursue my educational goals. My service gave me the opportunity to live in different places and connect with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and faiths. Through these experiences, I came to appreciate how our differences make us unique and inspiring, while also recognizing the internal and external conflicts they can sometimes create. These insights motivated me to become a social worker, dedicated to supporting others and fostering meaningful change — one person at a time.
