Hello, I am Dr. Lana Grinev and I must agree that finding the right therapist can be quite challenging. Confidently, I can make your search less hectic if given the opportunity. I provide an impartial, transparent, and trusting environment necessary to explore vulnerabilities which foster healing. I have success working with clients of various ages from diverse backgrounds. My specialization is in addictions. I am a licensed well-versed clinician and currently obtaining a second doctorate degree. I have obtained a Master CASAC, SAP/SAE and CEAP which have been valuable accolades in working with individuals who struggle with drug/alcohol addiction. The tools I embed in my practice evaluate the client and recommend appropriate educational and/or treatment modalities, follow-up tests, and/or aftercare plans. These custom-tailored modalities have been beneficial in working with clients who require extra support, guidance and structure around treatment modalities in understanding the overall addiction processes. I combine techniques from different therapeutic modalities to help my clients reach their goals to success and overall self-fulfillment. As a therapist, I use an eclectic approach tailored to the individual's needs. I apply treatment modalities that assist clients through childhood/adult trauma, marital discord, depression, anxiety, anger, poor sense of self, adjustment and grief/loss by using strength and evidence-based treatment modalities. I have been a dedicated practicing therapist for nearly 25 years. I utilize techniques from self/ego psychology, solution-focused therapy and the family systems model. The mind, body, spirit connection is powerful, and we can work together to create a healthier lifestyle. We will work conjointly to help you develop a new awareness allowing for positive change. I am available for telehealth interventions that will support and motivate you to maintain your recovery goals. Since I have battled with my own eating disorder addiction and trauma since early childhood, I can fully relate and empathize with the struggles you may encounter in your recovery. Additionally, the Certified Employee Assistance Professional Certification indicates my commitment to providing support and counseling to clients on a wide range of workplace and personal problems that may affect job performance. Since the workplace in today's world is ever-changing and evolving, the support I provide is a valuable way of keeping up on the latest and most effective treatments and procedures. I am also open to working with children/adolescents since I have vast experience in juvenile psychoanalysis. I may assign homework if deemed necessary. Homework can consist of completing worksheets, following up on tasks, or keeping a journal for further review/processing in sessions. More importantly, I enjoy helping people feel better and seeing their growth to the fullest potential. I am bilingual and speak Russian. Let's work together to create a stronger and resilient version of you. I listen compassionately, with a supportive, open mind so that we can find ways to relieve stress and navigate the challenges of life with purpose and meaning. Everyone wants and deserves to be happy. Therapy is one way to help achieve this goal. I look forward to working with you in your self-healing journey. I appreciate and thank you for taking the time to read my bio.
