I’ve worked in the mental health field since 2007 and am a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPC-MH) in the state of South Dakota. I also hold a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) certification and am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned both my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology, as well as my master’s degree in Counseling, from the University of South Dakota (USD).
My journey as a counselor began at Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare (2007–2011). I then joined Wellspring, a private practice in Sioux Falls, SD (2011–2014). During those years, I also did contract work with the City of Sioux Falls at Falls Community Health (2011–2022), where I had the opportunity to walk alongside individuals from all walks of life, each presenting with unique struggles and stories.
In 2014, I opened my own private practice, Agape Counseling Center in Brandon, SD. What started as a solo practice has since grown into a team of six full-time therapists. I work with a wide range of mental health and relational issues. Some of my areas of emphasis include anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors, self-esteem rebuilding, spirituality, body image concerns, major life transitions, conflict resolution, and couples therapy. One area that holds deep personal meaning for me is working with individuals experiencing grief and loss. This passion was born from my own personal journey following the loss of my twin daughters.
