I offer real help for real concerns. Are you ready to transform or is there a story you tell yourself that holds you back? The therapeutic process helps one to edit the story by way of finding a new perspective. I invite you to enter a collaborative, supportive relationship to assist during transitions such as relationship concerns/break-ups/divorce, bereavement, other life transitions, professional and personal growth as well as clinical concerns including ADHD, anxiety and depression. I work from a holistic, person-centered, Gestalt approach. I have several years of training at Cleveland State University and the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology, am certified as a Gestalt psychotherapist, and licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision status in the state of Ohio. You can expect confidentiality, non-judgmental support, unconditional positive regard, therapy tailored to your specific needs, helpful tools and positive outcomes.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship in itself is healing; the gift of therapy is in the relationship between the therapist and the client. Change does not take place by trying coercion, persuasion, or any other such means. My work is to help individuals develop awareness and understanding of their way of being in the world and further develop their strengths and abilities, so they can live an independent and fulfilling life. A large part of my clinical work is to increase ones’ toolbox so one has the coping strategies necessary to show up the best version of self. While behavioral approaches are helpful in addressing automatic habits, using a Gestalt approach increases self-esteem, self-acceptance, and new ways of being in relationship with one’s environment thereby promoting positive change and wellness.
Open to working with adolescents13 years and older.
