Rebecca (Becca) Morris

LCSW

Hello! My name is Rebecca Morris, I'm an IFS level 1 and EMDR trained LCSW from the state of Indiana. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from Northern Kentucky University. I am passionate about walking with others through whatever life may throw at them. My main focuses for therapy are evidence based practices Internal Family Systems therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also like to blend some other treatments of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. I believe in the power of learning to "tune in" to what is going on in our internal world and of becoming comfortable with talking to ourselves like we would talk to a cherished friend or loved-one. I believe in the power of reprocessing trauma and creating new healing pathways in the brain. I incorporate a holistic approach that deals with these evidence based practices, solution focused approaches, and body movements. The beauty of therapy is that YOU get to 'drive the bus' - your goals are my goals when it comes to your therapy. We will move at your pace - together! I create a comfortable and non-judgmental setting as I believe in empathetic and person-centered approaches to therapy. We will laugh together as well as address the tough stuff life throws at you. I believe that all behavior makes sense given the context of what someone is going through. I have experience in working with individuals struggling with trauma/abuse, betrayal trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictions, psychosis, depression/anxiety, stress management, OCD tendencies, and balancing school/life and daily tasks.
