I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 25 years of experience in treating individuals, families, and couples in establishing their treatment objectives to bring about positive changes. I am a unique therapist as I am able to express myself well. I communicate with clients in a non-judgmental way. I am astute at sensing what clients are thinking and feeling. I listen to spoken and unspoken words. In relating to clients, I express warmth and acceptance, empathy, and focus on clients and not myself. Success is having a positive relationship with my clients, their acceptance of making sacrifices and taking risks to get better and working with them to achieve their goals. I used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage their problems by changing the way they think and behave. My role to my clients is to be a therapeutic facilitator of change by providing them a diagnosis for their presenting problems, helping them to understand the diagnosis(s), facilitating individual/family sessions, collaborating establishing a treatment plan with the clients, monitor the clients' progress during treatment, teaching the clients how to self-monitor for progress during treatment and making appropriate referrals for the clients' if need.
