Most people start to tell you about themselves by introducing where they are from, but I am not sure where I am from. From K through 12th grade, I attended eight schools across four states. In total, I have lived in 13 states and three countries and have traveled to many more. I guess you can say I am from nowhere and everywhere! My exploration into this field began when I was 12 years old when my Spanish teacher invited a Peace Corps social worker to speak to our class. It was this incredible experience that gave me the realization that one day I could actually make a career from my love for helping others. I have a passion for connecting with people and helping them learn how to find validation, love, understanding, and peace from within. My clients describe my style as: supportive, engaging, goal-oriented, and empowering. At times, I am also known to use gentle confrontation as a way to challenge clients to disengage from behaviors and patterns that no longer serve them.
