I view therapy as a partnership between client and therapist and use a behavior change approach. We will work together to identify areas of distress and changes you can actively make to yield the results you want to see. I have held many positions in the mental health field during the past 17 years and can draw from a variety of evidenced-based treatment modalities in order to best meet a your needs. I have advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and use this most often due to its focus on behavior change, wide applicability, and effectiveness. I offer a non-judgmental space to safely explore problematic things you are encountering in life. I want to empower you to effectively change things within your control and radically accept things that are not. This will lead to more skillful problem-solving when encountering difficult events and reduce the emotional distress and pain you experience.
