Many components of life can lead us to struggle with coping and self-compassion, the compassion we often give to others, not to ourselves. Learning to be present and willing to face our struggles and move into them can allow us to live differently and reduce anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and distress. I believe we all do the best we can at any given moment. We bring our life learning and survival coping skills into adulthood; unfortunately, these skills are often no longer serve where we are now, learning a new way can lead to living. Therapy can allow us a safe place to work towards our values and the life you desire. Therapy isn't about ridding ourselves of our human experience, but to help us be our best self in spite of it. I specialize in anxiety, OCD, Panic, social anxiety, depression, stress management, unhelpful thinking and self-care practices, life changes, chronic illness, and ineffective coping. I use a collaborative approach integrating various evidence-based treatments to meet your individual needs. It's always about meeting you where you are with compassion and safety. I also believe humor is necessary to healing and incorporate as appropriate. I am licensed in Ohio and Michigan.
