Everyone is looking for a safe place to be themselves and to heal. As I engage with faith-based people and people of color I often hear, “there’s no safe place for me to go for mental health help that won’t make me leave my faith” and “There aren’t any therapist who look like me.” This is a lonely place to be, needing helping, but feeling ostracized because of your faith or skin color. My passion is helping those who are of faith and of color have a safe place to heal and restore their inherent dignity, value, and worth.
Three words that describe my therapeutic style are: warm, compassionate and direct. My approach is an integration of mental health tools and faith-based principles that is tailored to each individual I work with. I believe every person has value, worth, and purpose and I seek to help you to see that about yourself.
