I have over 30 yrs of experience as a hospice & oncology social worker and licensed mental health clinician. My approach is integrative and practical and clients tell me that my sense of humor assists them in feeling comfortable right away. As a cancer survivor, co-survivor to my husband and someone who has worked IN the medical model for my entire career, I have a unique perspective when working with medical professionals and first responders as well as those diagnosed with chronic illnesses. Grief issues arise for many reasons: loss of autonomy, someone you care about, your job, your family dynamic. I utilize practical, evidence based ways to help people move through challenges.
