Hello! My name is Colette Sanner and I have been providing Existential Humanistic therapy to clients with co-occurring disorders and have worked as a holistic Behavioral Health Coach for over 20 years. I enjoy supporting my clients with interventions that include: Exploring the things that bring meaning to one’s life and identifying one’s values; Accepting responsibility for one’s own choices; Recognizing one’s own power to make changes; Addressing one’s spirituality to improve anxiety and depression; Finding alternative solutions to problems; Using DBT to improve distress tolerance; Using CBT to combat negative thinking and change problematic thoughts and behaviors; Understanding how one perceives and makes meaning out of experiences; Growing one’s support network and connectivity to the community; Finding one’s purpose and meaning in life by driving towards self-actualization; and Focusing on the positive attributes each individual and whole person possesses.
My approach to therapy is rooted in mutual investment in your personal growth and wellness. If you are not mandated to attend therapy, I understand that your participation reflects a personal commitment to your healing and development. Therefore, consistent attendance at scheduled appointments is expected.
That said, life happens. We are all human, and there will occasionally be valid reasons to cancel or reschedule an appointment, and this could mean a cancelation from my end as well. If that occurs, I ask that you notify me or the Care Team as soon as possible, as I will do. This not only helps prevent the 24-hour late cancellation fee but also allows me to offer that time slot to another client who may need it.
Please note: If there are three consecutive cancellations or reschedules, I will interpret this as a sign that you may be more peripherally engaged in the therapeutic process. In that case, we will move toward ending our work together. This is not punitive, but rather a reflection of the importance I place on active participation in therapy and the limited availability of appointment times.
