I am a firm believer that everyone is the expert of their own lives and have many strengths that will assist in overcoming life challenges. My desire is to empower and encourage others to work through those challenges.
Earlier on in my life, I always knew my purpose was to help others and I pursued a degree in Sociology, a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Advanced Certification in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my professional career, my passion has always been to make a difference in others' lives regardless of age, race, or gender.
My approach is client-centered and solution focused. Three words to describe my style are: empathic, genuine, and motivating. I believe in the importance of building a healthy therapeutic relationship that will create a safe space to express feelings and work through difficult life experiences.
