Hi, I am Amber. I attended THE Southern University in Baton Rouge to obtain my undergrad and I attended the University of Texas to obtain my Masters degree in Social work. The majority of my clinical experience has been in mental health and addiction. Three words that describe my therapeutic style are: Empathetic, Insightful and Integrative. I choose Empathetic because I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment for my clients. I actively listen to their concerns and validate their emotions. I consider my therapy style is insightful as well. As I listen to clients, I look for patterns, meaning and connections within the clients experience's. This insight helps me to assist clients with identifying and exploring the root cause of their challenges; this leads to personal growth and positive change. Lastly, I am Integrative. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to tailor my approach to the individual needs of my client.
