I am a licensed professional counselor located in California and have been practicing for the past 15yrs. I trained as a therapist in Philadelphia, PA before moving out to CA about 5yrs ago. I believe in taking a strength based approach to working with clients and view therapy as a collaboration between the client and therapist. Therapy should be a safe place to discuss personal struggles and concerns. Therapy is a tool to be to help improve your life. I hope to support you in identifying goals, as well as providing some teaching tools to help manage anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and relationship concerns.
My approach to therapy is tailored to your specific needs and goals. I use pieces of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), mindfulness based skills, DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), TF-CBT (trauma informed CBT) and a family systems approach in therapy sessions. I work with both adults, adolescents, tweens, and families.
