Hello! My name is Emily Slominski and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in IL who is passionate about helping others reach their fullest potential. My approach is client-centered and I enjoy working collaboratively with clients. I believe that each individual is unique, so I try to employ various therapeutic models and techniques in order to best meet the particular needs of the client. I have experience working with diverse client groups across various settings including schools, medical facilities, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization, and private practice. I am empathetic and supportive while working with my clients in the hope that they will realize their own strengths, and utilize these strengths to actively work towards independent goal attainment. I have found the therapeutic relationship to be an effective tool for empowering personal growth. Utilizing genuineness, empathy, and positive regard, I hope to assist each client in overcoming their struggles to live a more fulfilling and enjoyable life!
