Hello my name is Trina Murray. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1994. I received my Undergraduate Degree at the University of Old Westbury. I then obtained a Master's Degree from Fordham University two years later. With more than 25 years of professional experience, I have serviced a diverse range of clients including the psychiatric impaired, dual-diagnosed, children in the foster care system, pregnant and parenting teenagers, victims of Hurricane Katrina, couples counseling to active duty military individuals and their partners. Most recently, I completed 70 hours of Couples Therapy Training with the goal to sharpen my skills in order to better serve my clients.
My motto is simple: change happens when you are provided guidance, support and a gentle nudge. With this combination, you will draw the strength needed to help you realize that you have the potential to live a happy life. I ensure that each of my clients will be met with compassion, empathy, kindness and a safe environment to overcome their obstacles so that they may thrive and move to a place of emotional health.
One fun fact about myself: when I'm not giving my clients one-hundred percent, I'm usually
singing or dancing—two things I love to do but not very good at.
My areas of expertise include childhood trauma, repeat traumatization, anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, marginalization in the workplace, couples therapy, phase of life changes (empty nest syndrome, from college student to adulting), life stressors triggered by the challenges of creating a work/life balance and divorce.
