I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College, CUNY. I'm a Licensed independent Clinical Social Worker, who has been implementing community based, public health services for the past 15 years. From wilderness therapy and mobile medical vans, to addiction treatment and family therapy, my approach is flexible and draws from multiple treatment modalities.
Using an integrated approach of psychodynamic psychotherapy, strength based therapy, CBT and family work, I've had success in treating individuals who experience depression, anxiety, issues related to trauma, grief, addiction, dependency and recovery.
Using the therapeutic process I can offer many things to people: empathy and a sounding board, other ways of looking at issues, and ideas about how to solve problems.
Through this process I hope to create an experience that allows the client to feel more present, create peace and connect to life goals.
I believe we all have a natural ability to heal and grow, like plants that turn toward the sun. I believe in the power of therapy to enhance your capacity for curiosity, self-compassion, self-understanding, and a deeper sense of self-worth. If you're curious about what therapy can offer you, I encourage you to trust your instinct and reach out.
Open to working with adolescents 13 and older.
