I’m Dr. Fulani A. Doughty, LPC, NCC, CRC, ICAADC, ACS—an educator, consultant, and counselor. I’ve worked in the behavioral health field since 2003, serving individuals across every age group. In addition to my work in clinical mental health and rehabilitation counseling, I also have experience in public education, including roles in Special Education and as a Certified Middle School Counselor supporting youth.
My areas of specialization include general adjustment issues, couples and family dynamics, educational planning, rehabilitation counseling, and addiction. Beyond counseling, I’m also passionate about human resource development, organizational development, educational leadership, and percussion.
In 2013, I was honored to be named a National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellow.
I’m a lifelong learner and have pursued multiple degrees throughout my academic journey: a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, both from the University of Georgia (UGA); a Master of Education in Human Resources & Organizational Development from UGA; a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University; an Educational Specialist degree in Professional School Counseling from UGA; and a Doctor of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision (CACREP) from Argosy University’s Sarasota Campus.
Today, in addition to teaching as a lecturer, I maintain a private counseling practice in Washington, Georgia, and I’m also an ordained Baptist Deacon.
