I became a counselor because I wanted to work with people just like you…stressed, depressed and anxious people… hurting people, veteran people, Christian people, people of color people…. Basically… people…. I enjoy teaching my clients about trauma, healthy relationships and communication. My style of doing therapy is warm and open, yet direct: I care, and I challenge. Together, we’ll patiently explore what gets in the way of your dreams and goals. For STRESS: I’ve helped clients set boundaries with themselves and others as we worked towards stress management. Together we will explore unique solutions to your stress concerns. For DEPRESSION: Together we will explore what it means to be happy and how to get there; it’s a unique journey for each person. I will sit with you and discover together your journey from depression to happy. For ANXIETY: One of my favorite “tools” in helping clients manage anxiety is the toilet bowl! How do you ask? Well, let’s find out together… I’ll help you learn what anxiety is communicating and then explore what to do with the information. For TRAUMA: Trauma affects us all, and we don’t always know what to do with what happened to us, I use the Progressive Counting method to help heal the painful memories. For FAITH-BASED THERAPY: I offer an integrative mental health- Christian counseling approach for Christians seeking counseling. Interesting fact about me: growing up, I wanted to be in the legal field. I can’t wait to meet you and help you get where you’re going!
