It is my priority as a therapist to recognize the day-to-day differences in each person's experience and adjust to match those needs in sessions. I strive to engage clients in sincere conversations about their thoughts, emotions and experiences to build insight, provide coping skills, and move toward positive change. I focus on bringing a human connection to our discussions, providing a comforting environment and authentic interaction. I enjoy the opportunity at times to bring humor and levity to sessions, while also recognizing the deep vulnerability my clients share as we engage in therapy.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I am experienced working with people with a variety of anxiety and depression issues. Further, my experience as a CASAC-G provides me the skills and knowledge to work with clients with impulse management disorders, such as substance abuse and gambling issues.
