Hello, and welcome.
I’m Dr. Jessica Hughes, a licensed clinical psychologist who helps individuals and couples find their way back to connection, calm, and meaning. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you’re understood, supported, and guided toward lasting change — not just a place to talk about what’s wrong.
For over a decade, I’ve specialized in helping people navigate relationship challenges, anxiety, and life transitions. Whether you’re a couple rebuilding trust or an individual learning to manage worry and self-doubt, my goal is to help you understand what keeps you stuck and create new, practical ways to move forward.
Before starting my full-time practice, I served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UC San Diego and completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the San Diego VA in the Family Mental Health Program. These experiences shaped my commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care.
I draw from Emotionally Focused and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy in my work with couples, and from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and related approaches with individuals. Clients describe me as warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll work to bring you closer to the peace, confidence, and connection you deserve.
