I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is also a Certified Alcohol and other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC). While I enjoy working with diverse populations, my experience comes from working with the military population, the Latinx community members, and individuals struggling with substance use. My approach to therapy is solution-focused and goal-oriented, collaboratively working with my clients to create treatment plans for change. My intention as a therapist is to provide a non-judgmental and safe environment where I can support self-efficacy to promote behavioral change. In working with clients, I incorporate motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy, while utilizing strength-based strategies and the principles of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I like to help my clients manage their symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, addiction, anger management, and to make positive behavioral changes.
