I have been providing mental health services in Southeast Alaska for over 6 years. I have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, family issues, and relationship issues. I emphasize the tenets of mindfulness, expression, and self-care to develop stability. I utilize a variety of clinical approaches when working with you depending on your individual need. I practice evidence-based therapeutic approaches, focusing on mindfulness therapy, CBT, solution-focused, and DBT. During therapy, you will be tasked with finding solutions to issues that concern you, while I provide tools and help you look at life's issues from an objective standpoint. However, the work does not end when the session is over. I often assign homework to continue the growth process between sessions. The goal is to aid you in the process of healing and building strength to handle future challenges so you won't need to ask for help.
