Joni Shinn

Hi there. I’m Joni, a fully licensed clinician with Master of Social Work from Detroit’s own Wayne State University. I commend your effort and resolve to seek therapy, as I know what it takes. I am glad to tackle any issue with you but have a special affinity and experience with anxiety and depression, gender and sexual identity, men’s issues, couples and family relationships, grief and loss, eating disorders, adjustment and transitions, social systems and cultural issues, addiction and substance use, and chronic health conditions. I use a variety of strategies and modalities to serve adults, couples and families, with emphasis on psychoeducation and a customized approach.
