Therapy is a collaborative process and my role is to provide thoughtful, empathic feedback. At times, I will also provide relevant information or articles for clients to read. However, other than practicing new responses to previously challenging situations, I do not ask clients to do homework. Life is so busy and we have so many things to accomplish every day that I try not to add to your daily to do list. Each person is unique and I attempt to get to know you and your specific strengths and challenges so that we can work toward your goals. My goal is for you to leave therapy with new skills and insights. I have worked with people of all ages over the years but I am currently focusing on adults. I have experience working with mood disorders, relationship difficulties, caregiver stress, career frustrations, transitioning to retirement, addiction, self image distortions, chronic illness and disability. We will work together to help you navigate the barriers in your life and, using a treatment plan, we will devise a roadmap to a better life.
