I'm a Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist originally from the Rio Grande Valley. I have experience working with couples, adolescents, adults and families with a wide range of presenting problems including relationship discord, PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc in a different settings including non-profits, private practice, and federal agencies including VA. In my approach, I use a systems approach, which can incorporate other modalities including trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy, attachment theory, and narrative therapy. I am trained and certified in two EBPs including Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
I view relationships as the foundation of our knowledge of self and of the world. I utilize clients’ strengths so they may be able to create new more productive stories about themselves and their identities.
