I have found that it is the people who are the most ambitious, compassionate and capable that are the most miserable when they are stuck. If you are finding yourself wanting support moving forward in an area of your life, I believe it points to admirable characteristics within you. I have also found that just because something is straight forward doesn’t make it easy. The change process is complicated and we all need to make as much room for change as possible, put all the options on the table and focus on the result we are working towards. The people I admire in this world are constantly working hard to change, to better themselves in each season of life.
I have12 years of experience providing behavioral health and addiction therapy and more than 25 years of experience engaging in the change process with individuals on various levels. My approach is outcome oriented and I use evidence based approaches in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and addiction along with work related issues, relationship conflict and family discord.
I take a freedom based approach to therapy and this can be unique in the addiction field; focusing on empowerment through offering helpful information on how addiction affects the body, mind and soul and exploring ways to reengage with life with purpose and excitement. I work hard to both respect and challenge the people I have the honor of working with.
Open to working with children/adolescents age 12 and older.
