My philosophy is based on the belief that every individual faces different challenges in life, and there are times when we need some help and support in figuring out how to maneuver through these obstacles. As a therapist, my goal is to provide hope, help and support through a collaborative therapeutic relationship. During the therapeutic process, I partner with you to increase understanding, learn healthy ways to cope with difficult situations and emotions, and develop strategies to achieve your goals. I utilize an eclectic approach based on your individual needs and goals, which often includes the use of mindfulness and acceptance, cognitive behavioral therapy and emotion regulation. Three words to describe my therapeutic style are: compassionate, practical and genuine. I have worked with people of all ages and many different backgrounds, and have significant experience working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety and difficulties coping with stressful life experiences.
Open to working with adolescents ages 13 and up.
